Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress who works on TV and in films is most well-known for her roles in films like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the only child of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. At the age of 16she already landed several television roles, which included the leading role in the Downfall film Youth Without Youth Control. Her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for other notable roles including the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were also nominated for Oscars. Alexandra was involved in a variety of significant international and national productions throughout her career. The projects include British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. The actress also served on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
